We’ve been chatting to Tipperary Senior Hurling Manager Liam Sheedy ahead of the Championship. During the course of a wide-ranging media briefing, Liam provides an injury update from the panel, looks back on the Allianz League campaign, and explains how the squad is now firmly focused on the Championship that lies in store. The Portroe native discusses the current state of the game, and how he’s in favour of on-going review.
Liam goes on to chat about the journey he’s been on with a number of players who’ve played with Tipperary since he first came on board in 2008 to manage the senior squad. Liam also salutes the application of the entire panel, and discusses the internal competition for places. He warns that that the winners of Sunday’s game between Clare and Waterford will provide formidable opposition on Sunday, July 4, for Tipperary, and Liam also chats about the return of spectators to stadia.
