As I wrote last week, having a stable backline is something that is vital for all good teams if they’re trying to win an All-Ireland Championship. Clare had Conor Ryan and David McInerney down the middle, launching them to All-Ireland success in 2013. Galway finally shored up their backline with Daithi Burke and Gearoid McInerney in 2017. Limerick even brought Kyle Hayes back to wing back last year, after a ferocious few years at centre forward, and it reaped the benefits. It looks like Liam Sheedy is starting at the basics and ensuring Tipperary will not be exposed, as has happened at times over the last number of years.......
