Is a draw ever better than a win? In my mind, it was last Saturday. Everything starts with the brain in sport and the knock-on effects of beating Limerick too early in the year are (a) it puts an added pressure on ourselves and (b) re-ignites an extra motivation on Limerick’s part if they had a score to settle.

I’m not for a second suggesting that the next meeting between the teams wouldn’t be high-octane, confrontational stuff, but motivation in my mind is infinite – there is always an angle or edge to gain, and I am happy we are in a good position after performing well in a lot of sectors.
