The priority for Sunday – performance. Being realistic, over the last two years Limerick have dominated Tipp in championship outings and it’s fair to say we don’t like it. If we, the supporters, don’t like it, then you can be sure and certain that the players want to put a stop to that on Sunday. Matching the Treaty men around the field, and in turn building the belief that we are realistic contenders for Liam MacCarthy, is the most important target going into this Munster Final. Of course, supporters will be looking for the positive result, and the cup, but winning battles on the field and giving Limerick areas to worry about is the real focus. The beauty about the water break from an underdogs’ point of view is that if the performance is up to standard, there is no better man than Liam Sheedy to steer the ship towards home in the last of those much-maligned stoppages.
Performance. Something you hear and read about regarding sport every week. What will that look like for Tipperary on Sunday though?......
